Sterling Tech Talks

Horizontal DAS reflection imaging (5-minutes):
This presentation gives a 5-minute overview of how seismic data recorded on the horizontal part of a DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing) cable can be used for time lapse imaging of oil and gas reservoirs. The time lapse images reveal changes in production-related physical parameters such as pore pressure and stress direction.

Detailed Horizontal DAS reflection imaging (18-minutes):
This presentation gives an 18-minute detailed discussion of how seismic data recorded on the horizontal part of a DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing) cable can be used for time lapse imaging of oil and gas reservoirs. The time lapse images reveal changes in production-related physical parameters such as pore pressure and stress direction.

Short DAS Fracture imaging (5-minutes):
This presentation gives a 5-minute overview of how seismic data recorded on the horizontal part of DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing) cable can be used to map reservoir fractures before and after a reservoir has been hydraulically fractured.

Detailed DAS Fracture imaging (10-minutes):
This presentation gives a 10-minute detailed look at how seismic data recorded on the horizontal part of DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing) cable can be used to map reservoir fractures before and after a reservoir has been hydraulically fractured.

Design, acquisition and processing of three Permian Basin 3D VSP surveys to support the processing and interpretation of a large 3D/3C surface seismic survey (20-minutes):
This presentation gives a 20-minute video covering a case study in which three 3D borehole seismic (VSP) surveys were designed and acquired in Andrews and Ector Counties, Texas in 2019 to provide data to support the processing and interpretation of a high-fold multicomponent 3C/3D survey.
